Sleep Access has taken the time to craft a solution that not only meets a current need in the trucking industry, but also interacts directly within the existing structure of your company. With very little initial setup time required, we can have your company begin its sleep apnea disease management and fatigue prevention program right away. The program includes six phases that will work together seamlessly to provide your company with the best in sleep health. The six components include:
Company Wide Screening – Screening your employees towards the prevalence of OSA is one of the most important ways to establish the risk within your company. This will give you an idea for how many drivers may be at risk and show the probable total cost of having this done.
Scheduling of High Risk Drivers – Drivers who screen positive in having a prevalence towards OSA will need to be scheduled for a sleep test. Whether you want them tested at home or possibly even on-site at your company’s hub, Sleep Access will make all of the arrangements necessary.
Testing & Centralized Diagnosis – After the sleep test is complete, the results of the test will be scored and diagnosed by one of our partners through the Sleep Access Network. These physicians are all Board Certified Sleep Physicians and have no financial gain with a positive diagnosis. That way you know the results you are getting are the MOST accurate they can be.
Treatment of OSA – The CPAP/APAP machine chosen to treat your drivers can have a significant impact on their likelihood to accept the treatment and be compliant. Sleep Access uses only the top of the line equipment available on the market today to ensure that your drivers are as comfortable as possible adapting to the new prescription. We also provide them with several easy to access customer service options.
Monitoring for Compliance – Just as important as the equipment, monitoring your drivers can give you so much more than a list of people not wearing their device. At Sleep Access, they will be given the opportunity to have medical personnel looking over their device and their adjustment to treatment on a weekly basis. This ensures that if there are ever any problems they will be addressed pro-actively by a physician qualified to do so. Any needs for changes in settings or treatment can also be done from the physician’s remote location.
DOT Certification & Rescreening – When the drivers on treatment come up for their DOT card inspection, Sleep Access can provide you with a report from the monitoring physicians noting the driver’s use and compliance with treatment. The program also begins again with drivers rescreening to make sure there haven’t been any significant changes in the sleep health of the fleet. | |
